In the mail last week

Early last week, I got the Jan-Feb issue of Poets&Writers, which seems to focus on literary agents. An article teased on the cover intrigued me, though, something about poetry as a way out. But I foundit hard to getto the end. So as is common, the best part of the issue is the classifieds, which hold a plethora of markets to submit poems and manuscripts to. This is a rich source of information for any poet who is serious about submitting work for publication — even better than the Poet’s Market book.

In the mail Friday was my first issue of Poetry magazine. I had subscribed in November, and the January issue has arrived. I’m finding the poems challenging but worth the effort. And it has commentary about poetry, too. I’m looking forward to sharing whatever I might learn.
