Free Lunch

Since early last week, I’ve been enjoying the latest issue of Free Lunch, a publication that offers serious poets a free subscription regardless of whether their work is accepted for the journal or not.

Editor Ron Offen determines what a “serious poet” is based on the poems submitted. Even better, he offers suggestions on most work and reconsiders a poem if the poet decides to incorporate his suggestions.

I’ve found his ideas to be beneficial to the poems I have submitted, whether he publishes them or not.  And I’ve found the quality and consistency of the poems to be better than most other poetry publications I’ve encountered.
