No More Free Lunch

I got the bad news last week that the 20-plus year poetry mag Free Lunch is ceasing publication. Editor Ron Offen has had serious health problems that are forcing him to end the magazine.

Offen has offered free subscriptions to who he deems as serious poets, based on their submitted work. He has made a point of commenting on nearly every poem submitted to him, whether he chooses to publish it or not. I’ve found his feedback to be as valuable as having my poems appear in his magazine.

It’s a big loss for poetry. But good luck and get well to you, Mr. Offen.
